Cannot run DMS Desktop on IE 8; Unable to launch.

Hello,

So, a problem has emerged where DMS Desktop will not run on IE8 or IE10 due to it not supporting Java 7, yet it is necessary for some activities.

I have installed Java 6, and I have attempted to switch to Java 6 using the Java control panel.  However, even though I do that, it is still showing me an "Unable to Launch" error although it is now recognizing and attempting to invoke Java 6.  

I clicked the more details button and I saw the following in the exceptions tab:

What am I missing that it is throwing me this?  Right now, I am stuck on IE8, but others at my workplace are using IE10.  How do I make DMS Browser launch on my computer from a web browser?
