Variant Manager default settings

I'm using DxDesigner Pads 9.5 with DxDatabook & Variant Manager; every time I create a new project I have to configure the Variant Manager Setting panel (Field Separator, Markup unplaced packages, etc.).

VM configuration seems to be saved in ProjectFolder\VmgrLdataGrid.cfg, how can I use a template VM file for all my new projects?

I already have a .prj file under \templates\dxdesigner\netlist with my other default settings; have I to add a KEY line in that file?

I also need to change default choices in Variant manager / BOM Reports panel (Report format, Type and Properties definition). Is it possible? Every time I close VM my settings are lost.
